Troubleshooting

Blocked Download (Windows)

On Windows, it may still happen that the file download is blocked by SmartScreen due to lack of reputation. In this case, a warning icon appears next to the file in your browser’s download window. If you click on the three dots in the context menu, you can select Keep to keep the file anyway. You will then receive another notice about the file being unknown to Microsoft. By clicking “Keep anyway”, the file will be downloaded as usual. You can also report the file as trustworthy beforehand. If multiple users do this, the file may potentially be added to Microsoft’s whitelist as trustworthy.

Setup Does Not Start (Windows)

If the setup does not start, or the App Store opens instead, you need to manually allow the file:

  1. Right-click on the file -> Properties
  2. If an Unblock checkbox is displayed, check it and click OK
