User Interface
The ScryLab user interface is divided into three main areas.
Left Sidebar
The left sidebar contains the Data Source Browser at the top. This displays all data sources currently loaded in ScryLab. Each data source is assigned a unique, ascending counter. Selecting one or more data sources acts as a filter for the Source Signals Browser below. This browser shows the signals of the selected data sources. This view always reflects the actual state of the data source – signals here are directly linked to the source file. From here, signals can be dragged and dropped into plots or the workspace.
Central Area
This is the main area. Here, plots can be created and arranged freely across multiple tabs.
Right Sidebar
The right sidebar contains the Workspace at the top. This is a temporary storage area for signals. Signals can be placed here to temporarily park them – useful, for example, when comparing signals from different data sources before transferring them to a plot. Some operations also place their resulting signals here.
Below this are the Signal Properties. The first tab in this section shows detailed information about the currently selected signal: name, x- and y-units, data source number, and other metadata. A second tab in this section displays the Workflow of the signal with all applied operations. The third tab shows statistical information for plotted signals.
Command Palette
The Command Palette (Ctrl+P or via the button in the toolbar) is the central entry point for functions. It allows you to control the app or directly search for operations and apply them to selected signals - without navigating through menus.
